As consumers become more interested in functional foods and beverages, formulators are exploring their options, and sometimes running into challenges incorporating nutritional ingredients into traditional matrices. Fortunately, many suppliers are taking the initiative in developing ingredient formulas made for food and beverage formulation.

To call out some of the innovative prototypes and ingredient options, VIRGO developed the Taste of SupplySide program. “Taste of SupplySide was designed to help serve the growing number of food and beverage attendees coming to the show in search of cutting-edge ingredients and technologies,” said Bob Weeks, publisher for Food Product Design magazine.
