VIRGO (vpico.com), an information distribution company focused on the most innovative and complex business-to-business markets that fuel the U.S. and world economies, today announced it will hold its first SupplySide Insights Awards at the upcoming SupplySide MarketPlace event.

 

The inaugural SupplySide Insights Awards will celebrate successful market launches driven by successful Consumer Product Goods (CPG) supplier/formulator partnerships in beverage, omega-3 and cosmetics.

 

 “SupplySide Beverage Insights, SupplySide Omega-3 Insights and SupplySide Cosmetics Insights allow buyers and sellers to connect and explore critical issues driving product ideation through market launch. The new SupplySide Insights Awards expands and deepens this relationship,” said John Siefert, Chief Executive Officer at VIRGO.

Suppliers and brand marketers are invited to submit nominations, focusing on new launches in the beverage, omega-3 and cosmetics spaces. Winners will be evaluated by the SupplySide Insights executive team and other experts for how well each product launch meets the evaluation criteria as it relates to integrated partnership, product innovation, market need and go-to market launch.

 

“We are excited to celebrate innovation in these key markets around the health and nutrition space," said Heather Granato, Vice President, Content, VIRGO's SupplySide Health & Nutrition Network. "Partnerships between suppliers and brand marketers from product ideation through market launch should be recognized as consumers are the ultimate beneficiaries of their partnership."

 

Nomination applications are free and will be accepted through Friday, March 22, 2013. Winners will be profiled on the SupplySide Insights websites, interviewed on the SupplySide Why... stage at SupplySide MarketPlace, and recognized in a special presentation immediately prior to the opening of SupplySide MarketPlace 2013 Expo Hall.

 

Held April 30 through May 2 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, SupplySide MarketPlace 2013 drives food, beverage, supplement and personal care CPG innovation through the buyer/seller connection.

 

 “SupplySide MarketPlace is the perfect venue to debut this new award program since it’s where innovation begins, and where the buyers and sellers of the ingredients and solutions that fuel the key CPG industries connect,” Siefert added.
