What is RSS?
RSS, known as Really
Simple Syndication, is a popular way of sharing
content (such as news) without requiring
readers to constantly
visit a
Web site to see what's new.
RSS feeds contain
headlines and hyperlinks back to the web site for
the
full article, and are updated automatically whenever
a new post is made.
Virgo Publishing's news feeds are free of
charge.
How can I
receive RSS feeds?
Applications known as news readers or aggregators
collect, update and
display the RSS feeds. There are several news readers available
that are
capable of reading our RSS feeds. Some of the
news aggregators are
programs that you install on your computer and
others are browser-based.
Since
each program or service is different, the way to add
the RSS Feed
is different. Virgo Publishing does not
provide technical support for
adding a RSS Feed to the program or service you use.
Contact the
service or the aggregator program author for help
with adding the feed.
Most of the services and programs have a link or
button that says "add
feed" or "add site". Click on the "RSS 2.0
Feed" to get the URL
of the feed you want to add to your aggregator.
Then Copy and paste
the URL for the news feed into your aggregator
program.
A list of news aggregators programs (installable and
browser-based) are
available
here. None of the news aggregator programs
or services are
affiliated with Virgo Publishing.
All
of our RSS Feeds have been validated and are
compliant with the
RSS standard.
